New tour dates to be announced tomorrow?

I just saw the following in the fine print on the Best Buy Rewards Zone Police page:

>For Concert Venues announced 2/20/07, 2/27/07 and 3/6/07, presale
>begins 10:00:00 a.m. local time Wednesday to 12:00:00 noon local
>time Friday of that week, while supplies last.

So I guess that means we'll be getting new dates every Tuesday for the next couple weeks? I hope so, as I can't take the suspense much longer! (I'll be on edge until I know if/when Philly dates will be).

Me too! I can't wait to see where Chicago and Florida will be in all of this! I'm thinking summer for Chicago and fall for Florida.

I hope they're playing Wrigley over Fourth of July weekend. That way it'll be Stewart, Navy Pier, and McClane! ALL IN ONE WEEKEND!

I'm going to need an IV all weekend for that!

OK, I cannot believe only one week ago was the announcement--I constantly feel as if there is something I should be doing, some presale. etc heh...will be great to see more dates but I can't believe there was ever any doubt that this would be as big as imaginable...It's the Police, FFS :)

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I read that as announced for sale, not necessarily new dates.

As for Chicago, rumor is 4th of July weekend. Haven't heard rumors on Florida yet, but my guess is the same as yours... fall.

I may've read the initial announcement worng (will try to dig it up) but I remember that the cities/dates would be released in a staggered fashion roughly mirroring the waves of presale dates, etc--will try to figure out what lead me to think that...after I get back from my lesson, if already not answered by someone more knowlegeable than myself

I hope The Police could include more tour dates from Texas.

San Antonio!

I feel like I should be refreshing my page every minute in hopes of seeing something new!

This is all exciting and intimidating all at once. I just can't wait to see them once, twice, or however many times I can.

Did I see something about a Denver presale over at TPT.com?

Survived lesson today...even when instructor pulled out metronome /grin

As best as I understand from BB and TPT the next three waves of dates will be released on successive Tues. with the staggered presales on the Wed. through Fri. of each week respectively. That part seems clear enough--but what those dates match up to vis a vis the greater announced tour plans is what is confusing, at least to me.

If BB is only involved in the US/Canada part of the tour, then these three waves of remaining releases-presales can only be for the US/Canada leg 1 and 2 (with European dates ostensibly poised between the two and S. America, Australia, Japan after US-2 into 2008).

Or are these three remaining release dates only for leg 1 of US/Canada with an entirely separate dealy for the 2nd leg after Euro, if the two-part US tour hypothesis is even true--I guess that's the million $ question here...

Am I just burnt from today, insane, or just sans clue? :)

Probably the latter, GSC!

From an email I just got from TPT:

Thur. Feb. 22nd Members-Only Presale at 10:00 am local time
- Wed. June 06, 2007: Seattle, WA @ Key Arena
- Sat. June 09, 2007: Denver, CO @ Pepsi Center
- Mon. June 18, 2007: Phoenix, AZ @ US Airways Arena

Public tickets for the Seattle, WA show will go onsale Sat. Feb 24th at 9 am local time
Public tickets for the Denver, CO show will go onsale Sat. Feb 24th at 10 am local time
Public tickets for the Phoenix, AZ show will go onsale Mon. Feb 26th at 10 am local time

Just to reiterate, the "Members Only Presale" means you need to have shelled out the hundred bucks (which is really only $8 per month) to join The Police's fan club over at www.thepolicetour.com. Lots of people were griping for a while about what they thought were poor seat selections through the fan club, but it appears that joining the fan club or getting tix through Best Buy is about the only way to get seats so far, since the general ticket sales are running through in about five minutes.

Awww, you didn't have to vote for "sans clue" (arrow to the heart) it was 2am (giggle)

GL all for those looking at Seattle, Denver, and Phoenix!!

Okay, let me see if I am following the discussion.. are you all saying that next Tuesday, 2/27, they will possibly release the Best Buy and Fan Club code release dates for the Las Vegas and Dallas concerts?
I'm going batty waiting for the BB code release dates for the Las Vegas and Dallas shows! I guess we all just have to keep checking and rechecking!
I'm in a bind because I leave this Thurs to go to New Mexico to go skiing. I told my boyfriend that I may have to come down from the mountain to check the internet each day to see if they have released the codes and then if the presale date is when we are up there then I am coming down to battle to get my tickets. Ruidoso does not have internet up on the top of the mountain! He thinks I'm crazy but I told him that I have waited 24 years for this concert, I'm NOT missing it!

Oh hell, you know I meant the former...I would know better than to insult the Queen of All Snare Drums, who might just bust a stick off in my, um, ear! ;)

I'm kind of fried myself - trying to get all my paperwork together for tax season. Yipes! Hopefully I'll get a big enough refund to walk the earth and follow The Police like that Cain on Kung Fu...;)

LMAO :) I really stank today (round 1) so I won't be busting sticks anywhere as queen of anything...but I have the drum-bug bad ) Like Toad in the Wind in the Willows....monomania!

I can understand all the confusion and, no, I don't think its crazy to come down from the mountain to check...but then again no one here would!

Imagine if peeps could still camp out for tickets, what kind of lunacy that would be on this tour :) Too bad Tower Records doesn't even exist anymore, at least stateside :)
