Confusion with "Pre Sale Tickets" abound amongst Die Hard Police Fans prompting frantic requests for a clarification.

Hello,

With the news that the Police are embarking on a World Tour?reunion, I along with thousands of others hit the web for any scrap of info we could find. Many of us found our way to the Police's official fan website "thepolicetour.com". Once there, we found that for $100.00 fee, we could become?Premium?Members and have a chance to buy tickets during a pre sale?tomorrow at Noon before the general public. When it was?announced that members of Best Buy's rewards club would be given 24 hour advance "jump" on the tickets, many Police Fan Club "Premium?Members" were?disheartened, but yet?hopeful?that good seats would still be available.??

This morning, to the shock of?Police Fan Club "Premium?Members", it was noted that our $100 memberships purchased in hopes of getting advance tickets might be all for nothing. At the Ticketmaster website, as well as the The Police Tour website, many failed to see that Ticketmaster was offering the?opportunity to?purchase tickets before the general public (along site??Police Fan Club?Premium?Members) by ordering? The Police Tour Fan Club Membership during the presale as part of your ticket purchase transaction. One less step than?Premium?Members.

Now this is where it gets tricky!!

As a?Police Fan Club?Premium?Member you must log on the?The Police Tour website get a "Pass Code" then log on to the?Ticketmaster website enter your code and then hope for the best. Simply going straight to the?Ticketmaster website and?purchasing the?Police Tour Fan Club Membership during the presale as part of your ticket purchase is being viewed as an unfair disadvantage to those who?purchased the?Police Fan Club "Premium?Members" package for $100.00. The worry is in the wasted time in having to log on to two websites vs just one.

On the?Police Fan Club "Premium?Members Only"?message-boards there are?frantic?(literally?frantic) with requests for a clarification from the message-board?moderators as well as the tour staff as to what? what being a?"Premium?Member" will actually get you in regards to "pre sale" ticket sale. Many? have been calling for membership refunds and credit card charge disputes in light of all the?confusion?leading up to tomorrows pre sale for the Vancouver BC show on May 28 (which I hope I can get tickets for!) as well as several other North American locations.?

Although?the topic of "Pre Sale Tickets" may seem a little light on news substance, I would encourage a closer look at this due to the fact that The Police Reunion Tour will be one of the biggest tours of the year.

You can request a refund and just do the bundle on Ticketmaster, but do it by tomorrow or it'll be too late.

This thing has made me frantic and I'm uneasy if I'm going to see them now. Ugh!

This is supposed to be fun.

i haven't cancelled my membership yet because i'm sure if it will make much difference. If I have to browsers open. One with police site and the other with ticketmaster i should be able to make the transaction quickly enough.
Any thoughts.

did anyone get a BestBuy code, either directly or via Ebay/Craigslist?

I saw the Cdn codes going for 50-60, then in the hundreds. Against my better instincts, I bought one off craigslist at 11:55 PST, but it didn't work. Luckily I could cancel the paypal payment before the 'seller' could claim it.

hey, check thepolicetour.com again... apparently they've announced an adjustment where it's 1st the Best Buy rewards people, then the next day policetour.com fanclub members (who forked over the $100 and joined the website), THEN THE FOLLOWING DAY the people who want to purchase the Ticketmaster concert ticket/membership bundle, then the Saturday general public sale... that's what I've been reading lately, check to make sure...

Nope, you're right, Laz. They rejiggered things after people had a pretty serious set of hissy fits over on TPT.com.

"Stewart please read."

Mmmmm..

I thought this was a request for Stewart to improve his levels of literacy by picking up a book or two.

I very nearly leapt to his defence...

I guess a lot of Best Buy employee's are happy today, too bad fans that have kept the dream alive for 22 years have to stand way in the back.

well, some of us anyway.

I love binoculars!...Thanks a lot.

This whole pre-sale madness thing is pretty fucking ridiculous. I'm sorry I just used offensive language, but this is getting that way. I can't believe 95% of the posts over there are primarily from people miffed and disappointed. That's not a good business, apparently.

What can the band really do though? They're popular.

This is an event that's huge. Big. I mean gajunga. What can they do but try to help? I don't know. I do wish it was easier for fans to see them, but three pre-sales? It's a little asinine.

My guess is... don't try and see them in big cities. It won't work. It's just too much.

And as usual, "How did this all get so complicated?"

I honestly hope that these issues are sorted out by time time the European leg of the tour starts in September.
