I registered here last year, but have only posted recently. I was received with a warm welcome by the crew here and speaking as a newbie I really appreciate it.
My personal impression about the excitement of yesterday...Stewart, Andy and Sting seem like they missed each other as much as we missed them.
On a side note...I wasn't able to view the rehearsal webcast live and came back here to see if anyone else was having the same problem. As soon as I saw the TPT.com news I went to the site and registered. Bottom line...I think (maybe) I was the first registrant before the site became overloaded...I haven't found another member with an earlier registration time...yet.
Registered across the street as PunkRockPoo as well. Offline I'm usually known as Sue.
thanks

Even though I also just recently came out of lurk mode and have only posted first two weeks ago, I have similarly felt welcomed and have never been shot-down by the harder-core-than-thou attitude of fandom that sometimes is associated with any band with such a major devoted following! This is my #1 favorite site!!!
Cheers to StewartCopeland.Net and cheers to Sockii for mentioning it in the interviews--it deserves all the good press it gets and more!!!

Ditto.
I have posted at the other site to try to help people out of the confusion over there, but I can tell I will be here 99% of the time in the future! This place is GREAT!

hey, yes this site is great.
I had the chance to see the video (managed to download it) from the Whisky. It's amazing!! Andy and stewart are back. Thanks Sting.
Andy had such a clear sound, and the solo was so great. It sounds like the '78 police, somehowe. They are on the good mood now.
This site will stay the major place i guess, with AUI of course.
by the way, where is Dietmar, has he done a hard attack ?
... i can understand
I am not afraid

Well, I'm not afraid you will 'leave' to some other forums...and we can stay on both forums anyway...
Thanks for your comments.

I lurked for awhile so I was familiar with your connection to Stewart and this site. That being said...I was actually a little fan-giddy when you responded to my first post on this board. I didn't know what to expect and I thought "Wow Giovanni responded to my post - Cool"
I don't think people will leave. The TPT board has great resources set up, but it's totally insane and will probably get worse. Even though I feel like shouting from the rooftops I just want to get the scoop and chit chat a little without any drama. For that I thank you.

Yeah, no disrespect to the TPT.com folks but the board just looks like it's going to be way too insane and busy for me to keep up with...and quite honestly I just get along best with fellow Stewart fans anyway. We've just got that certain vibe here you don't find elsewhere.

Totally agree Sockii. They seem far too fixated about U2 passing their guitars back to The Police for my liking!

I almost want to apologize for my earlier negativity today, but i had to let that out, and this is the most appropriate place for me to do it. Now that i've vented, i can go back to being my regular, positive self. Yay!
I think the U2 "crossover" would be cool, but it's not like i'm staying up nights actually waiting for it or expecting it to happen!

You said it best... besides, that board over there is making me nutso and paranoid, especially about the pre-sale mumbo jumbo.
