I'm sad,

only, cause i had to work and were not able to see the press conference and the rehearsal, i have now to pay for it.

I'm sad.

When Genesis announced there Tour the press conference was for free and still is.

I'm sad.

I wanted to see it, but unfortunately i had to work.

I hope, the same shit will not happen, when the presale for the tour starts.

I have to confess that I'm wondering on the logic of that a bit myself. They're trying to build buzz around this band to the point of getting people to spring for concert tickets, and you can't see the press announcement unless you join the fan club to the tune of $100?

I think I'd put a lower-quality stream of it for free on TPT.com if it were me. Folks who want the high-def version in stereo with quadraphonic sound, or what have you, could still pay the $100.

Seriously. I'm a little worried that cost seems to be so much of a consideration this time around. I realize nobody works for free, but focusing so much on marketing might not be the best way to appeal to young people who are used to the communal spirit around bands that's found on places like Myspace.com.

Absolutely!

The minimum should be at least to offer the access to the "Police in concert" TV ad... But even this, they can't offer it!

I wanted to subscribe for free but I don't see the need to give my card number in that case - hey Gio, you should ask us the same! - Mostly when you know the renewal is automatic each year. Will I have another free subscription in 2008, or will they charge me 100$? I prefer not to take the risk!

yes, it bothers me too. i went to thepolicerehearsals.com and they have a link where they say they'll post the mp3 - when i go there, there's a clickable thing to WATCH the thing, but when you click on that, it says 403 forbidden...

there's also dimeadozen, but i don't know if we're not supposed to link to that site.
