Tour Stop in Providence, RI?
Posted: 13 Feb 2007 05:39I've heard rumors (as we've all heard for various locations) of The Police tour stopping in Providence, RI. Can anyone help on this since I go to college there and its easier than Boston but obviously if Providence isn't on then it's off to Fenway! 
[Providence is an hour from Boston and although the Civic Center's had its name changed, it was a stop for them back in 1982 and '84. Lastly, the biggest change since the 1986 tour is that Providence is now New England's 2nd most populous city, passing Hartford for the honors several years ago.]
I want to buy good tickets for a Providence show if it happens but if it doesnt occur, then it may be too late to get good tickets for Fenway.

Either way, I am very excited about the Police reunion tour. Heck, when they last toured in June 1986, I was only 2 months old! Despite that, I know there's plenty of fans like me who never saw them live because we weren't around then.
