I saw that at the bottom of the sign-up page. You have to cancel your membership in order to not get charged again.

I'm sure it will settle down in the coming days & it will be worth it! It will take patience for awhile, though, as I assume thousands upon thousands are trying to access the site today!

Hey snare, have you noticed that thepolicetour.com confirms presale for Montreal for the 14th at noon and ticketmaster.com confirms it for the 13th at noon !!!
thepolicetour.com must be right but ... we'll have to be carefull...
I can access the thepolicetour.com as a member easily at the moment.

I am not able to afford the membership at the new police site... so I won't be able to get the presale anyway... but thank you for info!
I think the Feb. 13th presale is for Best Buy newsletter members...
But there's no use signing up for it now... apparently they only sent the presale codes for the Vancouver/Montreal/Toronto shows to people that were signed up to the newsletter before today...

Me too, no passcode email. I phoned in this morning, no one knew what was going on but that they were still sending out the emails so be patient.
Evening....still nothing so I phoned in again. Got the run around. I was pretty clear about the situation, lady tapps away at her keyboard tells me I am entered for the contest. So I repeated my speil about not getting the passcode and YES I was already registered by 8:00am that morning ! She gave me the we are still sending out the emails check tommorrow bit.
Just checked my email and what did I get? A notice telling me I am NOW signed up for future emails. GRRRRRRRR
I have like 100 items on my wish list at that store !!!!!! Fully registered.

By the way, the newsletter thing (even though it doesn't appear to be working anyway) is only valid in Canada. In the U.S. you have to be a Best Buy "rewards member" to get a crack at presale. As far as I know Best Buy doesn't have a "rewards member" service here in Canada, hence they are doing it through the newsletter instead. Cancon, if you talk to them again, just tell them you will get in touch with the Better Business Bureau regarding false advertising & see if that gets them moving better...
