winners announcement

Hi everybody from Giovanni.

Stewartcopeland.net, thanks to The Police management and Stewart, is giving the special restricted access to The Police Rehearsals in Los Angeles on Monday.

I received tons of requests that drove me to a pure 'dramatic' choice as only 4 names could be allowed; despite my first announcement was about 2 passes, the final decision saw a giveaway of 4 passes.

I leave the decision to the winners to reveal their names or nicknames, before or after the show; they have already been contacted by me and their names sent to the management.

I feel very happy about giving this chance to some of you; the decision on which names to choose was such a hard one, and depended on various and different reasons; do not envy me for being in this position, it was not easy at all and was absolutely frustrating keeping names out, but 'a decision must be made'!

I hope the future will give us some more opportunities to let you all enjoy some more special events.

Giovanni

Ps.: I won't be at the event

I don't envy you at all, Gio. Even though I didn't win, I'm still flying out there. I can't think of a better place to be on Grammy night than the Backstage Cafe in honor of Ian's spirit and the Police reunion.

Does the Backstage have a T.V. set? Anyone know? Any reason they wouldn't be open on a Sunday night? Cause I'm thinking seriously of heading directly there upon arrival in L.A. If I luck out on the traffic issue, I think I'll have timed things reasonably well...

Yes, I believe there are at least two tv sets out there, one for each side of the bar.

I hope they include the Gorge at George WA when they tour....that place is an absolutely beautiful venue!!

Is't being held at a bar? I thought it would be n one of their houses. Humm. Good thing I didn't sign up then, wonder if they would have let me in.

Here's hoping they do a warm up gig in London..

Shame the Marquee isn't the same as it was... but can you imagine if The Police played the 100 Club on Oxford St?

Or the Hope & Anchor in Islington?
