Police Around the World - for real...(not tour news)

I have been meaning to mention to our international crew that I lately bought a shortwave radio, and have been taking in Welle Germany, among other stations, regularly. (Although no Italy yet, and for some reason Auntie Beeb only broadcasts an hour per day to North America, and I can't get any of the Euro frequencies.)
So, last night I was listening to a station around 9540 on my AM dial, and what do I hear, but the last few bars of "Roxanne" followed by someone speaking in an Asian language that sounded strongly like Taiwanese.
I about dropped the tuner. For real. I sure do wish I could have made out what they were saying. I'll let you know if I hear any cool late-breaking news in a language I can actually understand (I should also tell you Radio Cuba has an awesome tango program on around 6 PM most evenings...)
