wouldn't it be cool if they would play a derangement?

I think it will never happen, but wouldn't it be cool if they would play a 'cross' version of a few tracks? Something like a new derangement....not a medley.

Stewart did great stuff with some Police tracks, 'deranging' them for the soundtrack of EVERYONE STARES; I also love the way Sting did his new version of 'Englishman In New York' 'mixed (or deranged) with 'Mad About You (amazing version) on the 'Broken Music' tour.

With all the creativity floating around here, knowing so well the whole Police catalogue, I bet most of you would 'create' a new derangement to be the 'opening act' of a new Police chapter.
Even a few minutes appearance could really leave everybody with an open mouth.....(but I'm sure a single track like 'Roxanne' or 'Message In A Bottle' in their original versions will make everybody more than happy!)

Just my opinion.

not impossible- sting is into derrangements it seems

i heard a recent boot of the sting Broken Music tour, where sting crossed Mad About You with Englishman in NY. it was great!

it was Englishman in NY, but over a the minor chords and guitar riff of mad about you - sounded really good actually

I have always loved the taped intro they used to play live.

The "Voices Inside My Head" tune would start and then they would kinda warm up over top of it before kickin it off.

I would love to hear a kind of derangement of "Voices" merged into the intro of Roxanne for the Grammy's live.

It's all cool !

Cheers.

I would quite imagine they're going to be "mixing up" the old hits in some new ways...in fact it's one of the things I'm really hoping for! Whether or not it will be derangement style or just some other new twists on old songs, I have to think they're going to want to keep it creatively interesting.

I was wishing they'd do a derangement at the Grammys! The "Regatta De Blanc" derangement at the end of "Everyone Stares" is amazing.

Wouldn't you?? Geez.

My vote: "Bed's Too Big" deranged into "Omegaman." There's just something about the flow of those two songs.

I may get out the GarageBand software and give it a whirl myself later tonight...(I once remixed Kanye West's "Gold Digger" into "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys...came out pretty well, if I say so myself.)

'Cross' version of a few tracks, good idea.

With some postmodern sounds like derangements of Everyone Stares, sure young audiences will love it...

I'm not sure it would happen at the Grammys, but there should be some room for a few derangements on the Box Vol. 2. That would be way cool....

My daughter Angela-17 told me that she loves derangements songs...

Is something like Police nowadays... 8)

Let's see how do they sound next Sunday...

It would be cool, but Andy and Sting won't even let him release them, I don't think they'd be into performing them.

I think the reason sting and andy didnt want the derangements released was because they had had no input into creating them.

However now all three are back together it is a different kettle of fish altogether....
