I loved the "Best of You" medley with "All Along the Watchtower", but of course, the Foos are one of my favorites, too...

Until Purple Rain came on, I could careless about Prince. I never understood him.

I kept saying how much cooler it would have been if the Police played THAT!

I really do like Prince, but his personal life makes me sick. When he did a bit of All Along The Watchtower, it made me want to throw up. He might have just as well sung a Jehovah Witness hymm. He's an idiot in my books.

I got so much shit from that ad and it's repeated airings because a lot of people at the Super Bowl party knew I'm a Police fan.

The only thing the Prince performance lacked was throwing Kiss into the medley. Otherwise, I loved it. Doesn't he perform regularly out in Vegas, Divemistress?

Right after Prince's performance was over, I yelled out:

"THE POLICE WILL TOP THAT NEXT SUNDAY!"
(maybe not the fireworks, but you know what I mean)

I am counting the hours..

Prince arrived onstage with We Will Rock You blasting thru the system. I'm hoping he's going to go thru a Hendrix phase now. Prince is a great guitarist. I dig him.

I was working on posting a countdown clock to the Grammies in my signature, but it's html-based and won't work. :(

I guess I could head out to Vegas. Though I had no idea Prince had turned into a religious fanatic. He's not out there oppressing anybody, is he?

I enjoyed the game, the commercials, AND the Prince performance. It's funny that he's coming under a lot of criticism right now for "phallic symbolism", when he supposedly has become deeply religious. In the last year or two he was cited on the news as having dropped all the inuendo from his act and encouraged other artists to do the same.

People will read anything into what they see sometimes. The guitar (and by that I mean in general, not Prince's specifically) itself is pretty phallic-looking. What was Prince supposed to do, not play? Since the Janet Jackson thing almost singlehandedly brought on a whole new wave of pro-censorship agendas, i fear these sort of events have become just TOO scrutinized.
