Stingus reports that The Police will play Roxanne.

"Okay, here we go again with some news:
- The song The Police will perform at the Grammys will be "Roxanne".
- The reunion tour will already start in May in ... (stay tuned to know this!).

Not a surprise - I saw my first tv ad this morning on cbs promoting the Police on the Grammys, and they played Roxanne in the background.

Hopefully, Stewart will see this and they'll switch to something else at the last minute just to be defiant. I think they should do something more unexpected. Like "Fallout"!

At least it's not "Every Breath You Take."

Roxanne sounds right....you can just see it.... guitar chords starts.....curtain drops just before drums and bass come in...crowd go barmy......it all makes sense.

..personally id rather it was something else ...say....dont care.....now wouldn't that bring a smile to all our faces ?? reckon S.C would have the biggest one tho....
...well its a thought, isn't it ?

"Don't Stand So Close To Me" would've been perfect.

Though if this were all a surprise, it would have made the song that much more impacting, but who would watch it if we didn't know? Haha.

I knew it'd be "Roxanne", it was too fitting.

I expected a "Roxanne" long version with all the jamming our Fab3Blonds usually plays

I have to say that "Fall Out" or "Nothing Achieving" would be very very appropriate and spectacular - actually, spectacular wouldn't even begin to describe the latter of those two.

But sadly unlikely to happen - after all, it's the Grammys and I'm sure that they will want the hits.

"Behind My Camel" would be funny though ....

I am getting pretty nervous for the next Sunday.

The Police together again.

Oh boy, this an awesome happening to my own life story :!:

Is cool I say

Roxanne is a classic, but it is not a song to kick off a show. Should have been Message in a Bottle to jump start not only the Grammy's but the return of the Police. Would have shown that the Police could still "bring it!"

But, hey....it is the Police back together so how much can any of us complain right? :)

I about fell out when the Grammys ad came on during the Super Bowl ("fell out," as opposed to "Fall Out," is a Southern term that means "to get all fired up, jump up and down and holler WAHOOO!!" :))

Man. Am I excited. Only downside is that I can't watch with any of y'all, but I know we'll all be on here *immediately* once it's over.

(What would you give to be in the audience that night? We have a family friend that got nominated for some soundtrack work last year, but he mostly does Coen Brothers films and there's nothing up this year...good thing, or I'd have been mighty tempted to debase myself by begging...;))

Now imagine this: The guys walking up the red carpet at the Grammies. I will be SO beside myself. And I pledge to start taping at 2 in the afternoon so I can YouTube it immediately!!!!

Uhmmm I expected some young peruvian tv reporter fluently in english could be there next to the red carpet like past few years... He is specialist of took some salutes from Hollywood stars only by saying "Greetings to Peru" and then starts a quick and tiny interview....

By the way I think they wont appear at the red carpet... they will be the atraction of the night...so if I been the general producer or director of this event.. I only shot them when the ceremony open as the big surprise of the night not before...
