Like many of you, I became a huge fan of the Police at the end of their career. They forged my taste in music and remain my favorite band even today. (Synchronicity was the first album I ever purchased - LP Vinyl Baby!) I spent the subsequent (pre-internet) years searching record stores, book stores and sometimes even periodical microfiche at the library for anything to do with the boys - either together or on their own. (Soundtrack to "Men at Work" anyone?) I even tried to be a Sting fan, I really did. But now I would find it almost embarrassing to say so.
And after reading the posts on this board, I know I'm not alone.
I love this board. I love that Stewart himself posts to it. And I really love that I don't have to pay a fee to access it.
Long Live the Tube Socks! Amen.

Yeah, everything he said. I was in third grade when I heard Zenyatta, and after that I was hooked. I remember crying in '83 when my sister and her friends had tickets for the Comiskey Park gig in Chicago (didn't understand why I couldn't go). I saw Animal Logic in Chicago, rented all the movies that Stewart did a soundtrack to...but with the new media it is all good. Youtube has been a great resource for finding Police and Oysterhead videos. Hope they hit Chicago or Milwaukee, and look forward to the Grammy's.
