I have the feeling all Stew and Andy's solo projects are on hold for right now. Guess we can't have everything, although I for one am dying for another Oysterhead record.

Am I misremembering this, or was Stew hinting around at one point about some work as KK...?

I don't think he was hinting that it would happen, but that it was a possibility.... one day.

Although i get where you're coming from, it's hard for me to see the derangements as Stewart's solo project. The process he used is pretty close to how most of our band's music gets produced! There've been plenty of rumors about new Police releases coming up. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see more of them get out as part of some package.

Stewart made a Klark Kent reference in at least one interview i've read. Something to the effect of him (the character) being "really out there". No specific statement to the effect of him returning, but he hasn't forgotten him either.

He said something along the line of... "I see him entering the galaxy soon."

I definitely wouldn't rule it out, but i don't look for it any time soon. A Police reunion should over time give a shot in the arm to ALL their solo projects, in terms of visibility.

!! I hadn't thought of it that way....Oh frabjous day! I will definitely pass out of pure joy if Stewart starts writing KK material again. Although there may be a lot of passing out in my future if he starts blogging the heck out of this reunion thing, since I'm such a geeky fangirl of all his writings and interviews.

He claims he "doesn't like the sound his voice makes" when he sings, but I think that's pure B.S. He sounds great to me, and the songs are about interesting philosophies and weirdness, in contrast to the usual mass-marketed tripe music fans are subjected to. Not that I have strong opinions on this or anything. :)
