I was really wondering if they were going to come even close to Vancouver...

So if they are rehearsing here....they sure as hell better have a concert here then to kick off the tour!

I missed my only chance to see the Police live in '84...so there is no way I am going to miss this one.

This is awesome news!!!

bb, your assignment is to go stake out that studio and see if you glimpse any blond hair.

Seriously - I'm not advocating stalking, but you may read something in the local press that lets us know if this tour is on...or simply a figment of our fevered collective imaginations. If so, it'd be swell if you could pass it on!

I was worried someone was going to ask about this....

I'm a little too old to be a groupie...but I think my curiosity may get the better of me!

Lion's Gate Studios is a big film studio complex, so somehow I don't think I'd be seeing much more than this...

An audio engineer here in Vancouver just posted this on a forum today.
Heh, Guess who is rehearsing here in Vancouver as we speak..?

The Police!

Can't tell how I know, but it's more than just a rumour. They arived in town today to rehearse in a Vancouver studio....

Something everybody said would never happen...
I'm not sure if he really has insider info, or he just heard it on the radio though.

It would make sense that they would start rehearsals before a potential Feb 12th grammy appearance though.

The bad news may be that they only rehearse here and don't actually have a tour date scheduled.

That would be a real bummer...

Someone PLEASE confirm a Vancouver tour date! Pleeeaseee.........

Jose, d'you really think The Police, after so many years without playing together, are ready just right now to record new material ? really ? mmh ?
Keep your feet on the ground dude !!
It would mean that Sting had already planned to reunite the band and would have forecasted to write new songs for The Police... impossible !
First of all it would be a good thing if they'd reherse their old songs....
Let's not look too far ahead !

Gotta relax...gotta wait for the official word.

We have to keep our heads, we have no real facts yet.

I hope it's true...

BUT.....

Cheers.

I'll cross my fingers for you guys. We in Nashville get screwed by this phenomenon all the time - people come to town to make records and then don't play concerts. (Though that's slowly improving as our Soundscan numbers change to reflect the increasing numbers of young people moving here...and we're not thought of so much as the Town That Spawned a Zillion Crappy Country Bands. ;))
