Bombs away in old Bombay...

It was 26th of march, 1980.
The Police played in Bombay at Rang Bhawan. This concert was filmed during the tour "Around The World" but this recording is in a black hole. There isn't any audio/video recordings. Only some snippets in the video, some photos and nothing more apparently.
But I have found this sad new about this indian location. "Silenced Rang Bhavan could soon be razed"
Here is Stewart that speak about that gig in Bombay...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05v4vcc

So I have an idea for @Stewart. Would it be possible to publish that live and donate the proceeds to the recovery of that structure?
I know, I'm crazy just thinking about it, but maybe never say never...

It would be great, if only Stewart would have that recording. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have it, but I can also tell you that a release of The Police is always a 'creature' where too many heads (band members, publishers, lawyers, labels) are involved.
Anyway, it's a cool idea!

Please Giovanni, help me. Let's make that historic concert see the light. Together with Shea Stadium, this is perhaps the most particular date in the history of the Police concerts. In India they are still in history and a publication of that event could bring the local historian back to the fore.
Grazie GiĆ²!

For what I know, it doesn't exist the whole show. Same as the Shea Stadium (in that case nobody knows who may have it, considering it was filmed for MTV, maybe not even completely, but no-one knows who has it, which production company).

No one has the Shea show? Wow. I thought I did, but I guess I only have only clips. Quite a shame.

There are several videos of different tracks broadcasted by MTV, but in total it's about 6 or 7 minutes

Maybe check with Andy? I remember having a conversation with him about Police bootlegs and he told me he had almost every Police concert in his vault.

But that doesn't necessarily mean these are all *soundboard* recordings, does it? Unless he specifically said all of them were taken from the mixing desk--which I personally find very hard to believe--I would I would not be surprised if some of those shows are the same bootlegs that we have in ours.
