OT - Paris Hotels

Since there was a thread about London hotels, I needed to ask this...

Can anyone recommend a reasonable Paris hotel? The wife and I are planning a trip there in late April, early May.

Hi Dallas,

Living in Paris since 36 years (born here), I don't know so much about hotels. But for 3 persons (Double bed + 1 bed), I think you will have to pay 100 euros (130 USD) per night.

Those ones are reasonable:

Calm and good quarter center.

Cheaper (80 euros - 105 USD) and not too bad also:

You can find hotels for 60 euros but not calm and not good quarter.

Merci Spotless!

I know just enough French to have Parisians laugh at my lack of French speaking ability...but I try... so I am sure you can appreciate an American at least tying to speak French.

I appreciate, Dallas. Your "Merci" was perfect. I also appreciate you want to visit this town. You won't be disapointed.

Travel agent

Postby giovanni on 24 Jan 2007 23:21

You know I was a travel agent in late Eighties? Yes, I've done also that!
Anyway, I used to travel around the world to see 'how comfortable' was a 5 star hotel (of course it is...) and some of the best beach villages (my job was to be a tourist for a week or so)...anyway I left the company as when I was staying in the office it was such a nightmare...

At the same time, as already mentioned for the London issue, I never forgot sleeping in 'uncomfortable' cheesy hostel or simple train station pavement while travelling before the travel agency job...but that was fun!
