Little by little, all of my happy memories from my youth are vanishing. He saved me. His words gave me the courage to get a college degree. His drumming inspired me to become better, to never settle, to always keep growing.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. Not for at least another couple of decades.
Worst. Friday. Ever.

I guess that all we are learning from these men should go on through us and pass it on to future generations. If we do that, we can give a real sense to 'their rides' and 'our rides'.

Despite clear differences in beliefs ,( I coud be cosidered a deluded magical thinker by some, lol), I always has a sympatico for Neil'l goofy humor, his insistance on his privacy offstage, and his true devotion for those he held dear. Notto mention that awsome drumming, how it drove the musicality of RUSH. Blessings on his last night flight.

The city of St.Catharines, in southern Ontario, will be honouring the legacy of the late Neil Peart by dedicating a lakeside pavilion in the area where he grew up. His lyrics for "Lakeside Park" are in reference to the Port Dalhousie community of St.Catharines.
