All these rumors...

...it's too much information! :) Some of this stuff seems so incredulous it's been hard for me to comment on it directly. Of course, it would be the culmination of over 20 years of wishful thinking for me if it were to all come true! But, it's still all hard for me to just buy right into.

For me, the fact that Stew himself has done nothing to nix the speculations here is the biggest indicator that something is coming, it just seems impossible to nail down with any validity just what it will be. I could see it being a one-off performance just as easily as a tour.

Yes! And I read on several boards that Sting 'confirmed' there will be definitely something. BUT if I clearly understood, it's just based on a first article published on the Internet. Can we trust this?

Remember 4 years ago a big rumour started after someone reported that Stewart said something on a probable Police concert in South Africa with Bono on vocals, as Sting didn't want to do it. It finally appeared Stewart was just joking and that what he declared was reported incorrectly. Despite this, the rumour has spread all around and was even put on the websites of some serious newspapers. Examples are numerous, just for The Police!

Maybe Sting said The Police will do something in 2007. Maybe he didn't at all and what he said wasn't reported properly. After all, I know more than one journalist that would emphasize his text just to get the attention.
As we have no video or audio of this interview, I prefer not to give too much credit until it's official. I only hope our dreams come true!

sure wait and see but all those informations about some future events with the Police tend to confirm the rumour...

Happily, we've heard Gio confirm that at least some of them are true, without revealing which ones. So, i'm getting cautiously more optimistic that we can look forward to a reunion of some sort. I just didn't want to get attached to the idea and then see it not happen.

Well, a lot of us have already waited 20 years or so, so what's another few weeks? If even that long...

longer

Gio,

I'm sure everyone will join me, in thanking you for the updates.

I'm sure it's difficult to keep things under wraps.

Hope Eugenio is ready when the announcement is made because this site is going to busy and buzzing.

To all at SC.net appreciate all that you do.

A friend of mine called me and let's just say the word is out.

SUPPOSEDLY a certain sound company has already been sent a contract to do the Police reunion tour.

Then again, maybe just another rumor? More things that make you go "Hmmmmmmm.."

My guess is that if the police are on the Grammys on Feb 11th they will announce it then, so stay tuned!!

Everyday it seems there's another announcement of a reunion tour: first Genesis, then Crowded House, now Van Halen. The reunion circuit is getting crowded. Heck, isn't Cat Stevens back too? Hopefully the Police will take the lead.
