So many threads about it....
I am trying not to dwell on this but it sure is difficult. I was thinking about it and I guess I last saw the Police in Toronto at Exhibition stadium 1983, I think, (someone will correct me) but Man! that's a long time...and everybody still pumped!
...I can't imagine how fun it would be to see these guys play after 24 years since my last concert. You have to admit, the boys have kept themselves together really well.
Anyway, I think all this NEW hype just proves that all of us fans...especially the Copeland and Summers fans, have been right all along.
Can't wait to hear Miles scream into the mic..."and now it's time for the number one band, it's time....for....the POLICE !!!!! (crowd goes) Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Stay calm and I hope everyone is OK, watch your blood pressure and eat right.
...and have a drink. Raise one for Ian and Kim, I think those dudes are leading this mystical journey.
CHEERS.

I've heard people say how stressed they are waiting for info. I'm actually in a great mood about all this. I'm giddy. Ecstatic. It's the best (rumored) news I could hope for.
I KNOW I'm not going to get great tickets without spending a lot of money. I'm resigned to even getting mediocre tickets for a lot of money. That's just how things are going to be. This tour, if and when it happens, will be huge. And I'll consider myself lucky to even BE there. I can't get in a twist about things I know won't happen (ie - front row, etc.).

I think someone at Q107 in Toronto has a little inside scoop from promoters or someone close to the bookings. Bongo Boy do you have any connections there? They keep hinting at a Police announcement coming soon. The stuff they suggest, doesn't appear in the forums, or the tabloids around the world. They actually suggested that the tour may in fact, actually start here in Toronto. This weekend they have a "Bands that Broke up" weekend, so of course the Police are in there. What they said literally about an hour ago on the drive home was "...yeah they broke up, but (wink wink nudge nudge....sort of like, "we can't come out and say it, but it's coming.." ) they may soon be back...stay tuned for details in the coming weeks...."
This thing will be huge if and when it happens. Can't wait.

Of course I'm excited, having never gotten to see them back in the day...but I'm more happy considering the release of some of the back catalogue and maybe even - do we dare to hope? - new studio tracks.
I would LOVE to know what new Police material might sound like. And I sure hope it's not just going to be a Sting vehicle...though somehow I don't think that'll happen.
[Note to Andy and Stewart, should they happen by: Twist his arm! Make him rock! You can do it, we know you can!

The waiting really is driving me crazy...I spend way too much time every day checking the boards for new gossip and rumors...but it's so exciting too that I know I can't complain.
A year ago I never would have imagined we'd be sitting here seriously contemplating any of this. To think that even just a few of the "uncomfirmed" stories are true is just...really incredible. I've spent the last twenty years resolved to the fact that I got in on the game to late to ever see my favorite band together again. To start thinking seriously otherwise...kind of feels like stepping into an alternative dimension, you know?

I'm excited as well. When I read the "rumor" from Stingus.net over the weekend I about fell out of my seat. I was yelling like a fool in my house and I just know my neighbor could hear me through the walls!! I am very very excited. Like I said somewhere else. I am getting that same anxious, excited feeling I got when I was a teenager! I love it. It's so fun.

I am in a state of abject terror that for some reason I won't be able get a ticket. I even dreamt that it happened and I missed it the other night. I'm also worried that I will end up having to go alone - we should try to arrange a meet up for any forum members going to the same shows.
That's if it even happens... must stop being so optimistic!

Oui, I'm afraid too to not get a ticket! Or that for some other reason I could miss THE thing.
In 1983, when they came around here, in Fréjus (France), we were to go with 2 other friends. Because of our young age at that time, 15 years old, we had to go with the father of one of our friends. The famous day, his car just broke down! Aaaargh!!! So we weren't able to see The Police.
We just thought we would assist another concert the following months... or year! As you surely know, they never performed live again in Europe after the beginning of 1984. Aaaargh again!!!
So, I'm wondering what I must do to be sure I won't miss that. Maybe camping in front of the place they'll play a week or a month ago, just like those Star Wars maniacs? LOL!

I too keep checking the boards daily to see if any new information has been posted, and I'm sure my blood pressure must be higher.
Then again anticipation is half the fun, so I've been told...
I just keep reminding myself that once the announcement is made (whenever it is), that the battle will be on to get tickets , etc.
just sit back and enjoy the ride!

Yes, the real stress will come when dates are announced and the battle over tickets. Talk about stressfull. That will be horrible. But, I am ready and willing for the battle.

I started this post and I'm stessed out.
I have always been bad at waiting...doesn't matter what it is for.
for THIS the waiting is painful, not even about getting tickets and all that other good stuff.
I just want to see them end on a real happy note and have fun and we all enjoy it and then I won't bug them anymore.
Actually, I think what is bugging me the most is this is the first time I get the vibe that Stingo "IS" into it. That's a first.
FOR DISCUSSION:
DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE 2007 POLICE AS A THREE PIECE ONLY?
DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE 2007 POLICE AS A BIG BAND? (horns, backup singers, keyboards)
I really, really, really want to see them as only a three piece, I think it sounds like The Police that way. (IMO).
Cheers, (breath in and out, sigh.)

I'm going to end up with nose bleed seats, I just know it.
I haven't let myself get to excited... I'm waiting for offical word so I won't end up as disapointed.

You'll be able to get into Bonnaroo, if it comes down to that. I, for one, would rather see them in a smaller venue, but they sell like 40,000 tickets to that show.
