OT - San Bernardino Shooting

I live in Redlands which borders San Bernardino. I work for Amazon, and our building is 2 miles from where the shootings happened. Our company did an excellent job of locking us down and keeping us safe and informed. It's tragic that these things still happen. It's scary to think the streets I drive on every day were the scene of high speed pursuits and deadly shoot-outs this afternoon.

Pray for the 14 that were lost and their loved ones.

Awful to see this happen again to innocent people. Glad to hear action was taken at work.

There seems to be something in the news almost every day. I'm glad you are safe and that your employers looked after you all.
I am grateful for living on a small Island away from big cities.

Stay safe Nutters where ever you are and particularly those that work in emergency services.

They required us all to watch that video at work. I had already formulated numerous escape paths, and a few hiding places in my mind before the video. Nothing around the office seems a decent weapon, although I do keep a knife in my drawer to cut up fruit... I'd definitely grab that. Sad that we have to think and plan for such things.

Glad you are safe as well. This is the new normal and just reinforces my believe that life is too short and everyone should live it to fullest in whatever way they can. :(

Amen to that.
