Hollywood Park to be torn down
Posted: 22 Dec 2013 03:46Local L.A. racetrack and landmark Hollywood Park is running its last horse race this weekend. It's then being torn down.
The Police played here on September 6th, 1983 on the Synchronicity Tour. This show also featured Berlin, The Fixx and The Thompson Twins. Wow, what a lineup! I cursed my parents for years for not allowing me to go because I was too young. lol
Gwen Stefani mentioned this show and showed a picture of her meeting Sting backstage at this concert at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction in 2003.
Zenyatta the horse ran here as well.
The place will be missed!
