Have you guys seen that a movie is coming out about CBGB?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1786751/

The Police are mentioned in the movie poster. I see on IMDB that an actor named Keene McRae is playing Sting. But I don't think Stewart and Andy are portrayed. (I think it's a minor role in the movie.)

Has anybody ever portrayed any of the three Policemen in movies or TV?

BTW, Mickey Sumner- Sting's daughter- (I think you all know that) is playing Patti Smith.

I can see that if you are not a fan, they are "close enough". Good for Taylor Hawkins!

Horrendous casting. They haven't even bothered with Stewart's clothes or hairstyle.

This does not bode well.

 gasp! heartsink......I could care less of sting, but those kidlets can not even get to bottom step on the AndyS or Stewart ladder. Andy really did have a 'Bottecelli face" (that is quoting mr sting from Broken Music), and Stewart's presence has always projected from behind the drums.....dismaying for this fan.

Wait for it.... right at the end you can see "the Police".
Absolutely AWFUL casting for the band. "Sting" looks like a twink. Categorically. Wish there was more attention to detail in these kind of projects.

Whole thing looks like a comedy fantasy that only loosely bases itself on reality. A documentary would have been much more interesting.

Yuck.

Amazing. I never knew Sting was 14 when he joined the band.

Taylor's playing Iggy Pop. Brilliant casting IMO, he's the only one I've seen that really looks like he fits the part and could carry it off.

Taylor should have played Stewart honestly, i am surprised he didn't.

But i agree that the casting for the Police and some of the other bands are awful. But i'll go see it for sure, Alan Rickman is one of my favorite actors.
