This fellow missed the boat when the sig kit came out FIVE YEARS AGO. (It's been FIVE YEARS! Isn't that insane?) Anyways, he has tried really hard scouring the planet for a long time now, asking Tama to make more, asking Stewart to ask Tama to make more, but to no avail. I almost (sort of almost) started feeling guilty about hoarding one in my basement. I told him that if I ever was to sell mine, that he was first in line. I am so happy for him to have finally found one! No easy task with only 50 on Earth! That's three nutters now with sig kits that I'm aware of. Who has the other 47?
Congrats Rodrigo, and tell us about your new kit!!

I think I'll just have to be happy with my mahogany Superstars. But who knows, maybe someday I'll make a transition into a vintage midnight blue Imperialstar chariot. There could even be a chrome-over-brass Pearl Jupiter snare of mysterious provenance out there somewhere. I didn't think I'd ever find a Ictus 75 ice bell, but I did. Never say never.

HEEEY! Thanks to everyone!! Not to mention that was the last signature kit for sale in the entire planet and had to pay the shipping all the way from New Zealand to Chile! (Well it's a just a pond, right).Ships out today.
As soon as arrives I will post pictures: I have this project called "Stewart Copeland 360ยบ all time drum set" Which is basically a round kit with a vintage Imperialstar (1983)and a modern Starclassic (2007) kits put together, both with proper Paiste according to those kit (and yes: that includes the Ictus and the 2002 18" flat ride).
TO DRUMMIKE: I actually have one "chrome-over-brass Pearl Jupiter snare of mysterious provenance" for sale. Drop me a line!
THANKS AGAIN!!!

Glad to know someone here has those hard to find Copeland percussion instruments. I'll have to hold off on new gear for the time being. I've got a Paiste Sound Creation 20" Bell Ride and a fretless Squier Jazz Bass on ebay at the moment.

Way to go, roddswett!!! Patience and persistence pays off!
I actually bought a COB Jupiter off Ebay several years back, but it got lost/stolen in transit, according to the guy who sold it. He gave me my money back, at least.
I have been working on collecting Stewart's cymbal setups from the Ghost/Sync era and Tourzilla. So far I have:
14" Rude crash
8" 2002 Bell
16" sig Fast Crash
18" sig Full Crash
10" sig splash
22" Blue Bell ride
I also have two 22" Rudes that I thought Stewart used until Jeff said he actually used a 24".
If someday I do decide to replicate a drumkit, it will probaly be the Midnight Blue Imperialstars. As pretty as the Starclassics are, I was never a fan of their sound. Same with the Birch Superstars. I like the thud of the Imperialstars.

I've never actually played an Imperialstar set, but I always thought they would sound brighter than the Superstars. Anyone here (besides SC) actually played both types of kits?

Sorry, not ready to give either one up yet. They both sound a bit different because one was "cleaned" by the previous owner (Who the heck cleans a RUDE???). It is bright, shine-y copper on top, giving it a bit more "wash".
They show up fairly often on Ebay, though, so don't despair!
