Did everybody see the 1977 video posted on Stewart's Twitter by a fan? In case you missed it, here's the link:

It's kind of funny to actually see what we've read about for so many years. It's just too bad there's no sound. According to ITN, their cameraman just happened upon Stewart and Sting. Years later they discovered the video in their archives. I hope there's more.
Look how young and skinny Stewart looked. You can see his awesome enthusiasm and drive that even Sting wrote about. You can say that he was whistling while he worked. He really seems to be enjoying himself. (And I never knew Stewart was a lefty.)
When you think that at that moment these two musicians had no money and really had no idea what future held, it really puts their mega-success into perspective. Look at Sting- the world famous ultra-rich bon vivant- looking exactly like what he was at the moment- a struggling young man on the dole with a wife and a baby.
Sting, of course, ever pensive and brooding. . . even back then. . .evaluating his predicament with this American firecracker. And is that a cigarrette in Sting's right hand?
This is a wonderful accidental glimpse into the distant past that confirms the legend. I'd love to hear Sting's reaction to the video.
Here's the ITN archives link describing the video:
