I was going to make this as a poll, but it doesn't seem we can do that anymore here.

Who would you like to see Stewart tour with in 2013?

The preference for many Nutters would be with the guys he used to play with, Andy and Sting, but that seems unlikely to happen soon. Sting is doing his own tour (Back to Bass, Part VII), and Andy is hoping to do some shows with his new band, Circa Zero.

Here are some options that Stewart has played with before:

1. Stanley Clarke - The Clarke Copeland Band played several shows in Europe last year

2. La Notte Della Taranta - the Southern Italian folk music that he has played in Brazil and Spain in recent years

3. Oysterhead - another trio that he has played with, although not recently. However, two thirds of the band were at the Sacred Grove recently.

4. Gizmo - Stewart's rock band of old friends that played mostly Stewart's music.

5. Orchestralli or other classical pieces such as Gamelan D’Drum - Stewart hasn't really toured playing the Orchestralli music, but has given shows in various places, including in London last year.

My first preference would be to see Gizmo. I would love to hear Stewart play his rock song. I would also love to see him and Stanley Clarke. Love the recordings from last year's tours.

I was able to see the Orchestralli music in Savannah, Georgia, in 2008 and La Jolla, California in 2009. So much better than on CD.

I know Oysterhead has its fans here, but I am not a huge fan.

However, I would be thrilled to see Stewart do anything with or without drum sticks in his hands. So hope he hits the road this summer doing something somewhat near me.

With Andy Summers and Les Claypool performing original instrumental material as well as The Police instrumental classics such as:

- Masoko Tanga
- Reggatta De Blanc
- Behind my camel
- The other way of stopping

No singer needed!

This ^^^^^ is a capital idea :D

For me the answer's pretty much always Oysterhead (Primus played the best show of theirs I've ever seen this past fall, so it'd be a good time). However, I enjoy most everything - got a lot more out of the gamelan show than I expected to, no disrespect to the Maestro.

Well I can't go to concerts or places with a lot of people in general, but I'd say Gizmo.
Although, as long as it's him, I don't care who he's playing with

Now that I think about it, there's a world music festival where I live (Vilanova i la Geltrú, a coastal town half an hour away from Barcelona). It used to be in July, last year they changed it to October and on that edition there was actually a feature about the taranta. They've reduced it a bit and now they bring only Mediterranean acts... it'd be nice if they brought the whole Taranta troupe. I wouldn't stay for the gig but maybe I could find a way to say hi and give him that big hug that's been waiting for him since 1981.

Dreaming is free...

Anyone and everyone, provided it's somewhere I can actually make the show. I'm not fussy, just desperate at this point. :P

And that we get enough advance notice so we can make travel arrangements without getting gouged, schedule time off from work, etc.
