He's really inspired, Moonstone and Equalizer. Great tunes and amazing guitar tones and playing.

Thanks for posting. I wish Andy would update his site more often. Fortunately, we have this site.
Check out these videos of Andy, Fernanda Takai and others. I think at least the first song is from the new CD. I love Andy's guitar sound. Here he's on the Strat.

I'm always surprised how some of you are still enthusiastic about some solo stuff... and I envy you. What I've heard from this new album reminds me of elevator music. Good for 90 seconds. It might work at a bar on the Copacabana, but that's not where I normally am.

Dietmar, for me it's not something that's on my regular everyday playlist.
But I like variety and Andy is very unique. Then you add the different people he plays with and it makes for a very interesting mix.
Whether it's classical or country, there's great music in everywhere.
There's a reason Andy has produced more than a dozen post-Police CDs. He's a world-class musician who can play anything. Sometimes I pull out one of his CDs and just enjoy the sounds.

I think it depends on where my 'head' is at the time of listening. For me it's not an album I would have on my i-pod when I'm working neither is it music to drive to. Working or driving needs something I can sing along to. Sitting on my doorstep in the sun yesterday evening listening to this and it's perfect, beautiful chill out music. It's summer music. I can't be the only person who listens to different music depending on the seasons? I wonder when it will be available on itunes or Amazon.
Jerseyfan, when you talk about the different people Andy plays with that makes for a very interesting mix, I totally agree and also that is exactly how I feel about most of Sting and Stewarts post Police work too. They were brilliant together but oh my! havent they found some fantastic artists to work with afterwards?
We are lucky indeed to be fans of a band that after all these years keeps coming up with new treats.

I have listened to most of it. I must say I am not that fond of it.
I liked Andy's other Brazilian CDs with Victor Biglione (Strings of Desire and Spendid Brazil) and was expecting something like that as opposed to the vocal pieces here.
It had grown on my some, but not much.
I love some of Andy's solo work (such as World Gone Strange and The Last Dance of Mr. X) while others I really am not fond of (such as Mysterious Barricades and the Golden Wire). This new album is closer to the second category for this fan.

That's correct, moonstone. I feel the same way. It depends on the time and the place... and my mood.
But that happens for me for a lot of music. Take Billy Joel, for example. I had not listened to his greatest hits CD for about two years. Then I spent about a week popping it into the CD player in the car.
I got into Joss Stone after I saw her open for Sting at Jones Beach. I haven't heard that CD much this year.
Even the Police and Sting... There are some CDs I haven't heard from start to finish in a long time. Then the mood hits you and you listen to it. When an artist has not released new material in many years, the desire to listen comes and goes in waves. Every once in a while I'll have an Animal Logic week.
There's a lot of great new music released all the time. I also listen to the radio a lot.
I'm so glad that Stewart has stayed so active and gives us new material on a fairly regular basis. I'm loving the Sacred Grove. I can't wait for the Snoop Dogg video.

I like it because I think that it may be Andy's best pure pop attempt in his solo career. I'll take it over anything post-Ten Sumners Tales from Sting any day.

Sometime Dietmar can be harsh but I can't be totally against him. Probably if it was not Andy's music perhaps none of us would have listened to the record. In fact I found really 3 interesting songs that reminds me of Andy's first 2 solo albums. And I still like a lot the ' sound painter' he still is. The damage is that there is any real drummer behind this and Stewart cannot be everywhere !! To be honest the 3 guys have evolved apart , which is not a bad thing, and that's what make the point interesting in what a new Police album ( or name the band as you want, CSS perhaps(Copeland Sting Summers) would be if there was any one day. But I am pessimist about it and another tour would perhaps be a bad idea as Andy will be 71 years at the end of the year, but why not a music collaboration of Sting's new album as in NBTS.The future will say.
