This was only posted on Youtube a few weeks ago...it's a GREAT watch. Stewart pretty much dominates the interview.

What a GREAT find. Thanks for posting!
The Knack reference a minute in takes me right back.
I love "And the point is...I've forgotton what the point is". Classic.
What movie is Sting talking about :?: David Bowie, Kraftwork :?: Do we need to call Dietmar in :?:
Is that St. Jeff about three seconds in :?:

I believe this is the film Sting is referring to:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079773/

And yeah, I really enjoyed the clip when I found it today. Stewart is so, well, STEWART in it...amusing how Sting keeps getting drowned out by the loudspeakers/flight announcements, lol.

Interesting, I have never heard of that movie before.
That is funny, STEWART lets Sting talk right before the flight announcement happens, almost as if he planned it

Yep I found it some days ago...I supposed it was posted here before... by the way this is part of "Guzman Theater Miamai 1979 live clips from "Bed's to big without you" + "Can' t stand losing you/Regatta de blanc".. So this is part of a complete documentary... I hope some day it will be digitally launched into a POLICE 4 DVD Family Jewels pack  8)

Another great interview from 1979:

The Special Police hates the word Rock' n Rock and wants the kids to respond to his music violently or actually outrageously.

I love how Stewart takes over the interview. It's also interesting to me how his accent seemed a little more British back then than it does now. (I notice accents, having one myself.)

Loved the first interview (haven't seen the second yet).

What Stewart said in 1979 about American radio audiences only listening to one type of music is more true now then when he said it.

it seems taken from my very very very old vhs tape...eheh, probably it's from the same round of collectors; this interview was broadcasted tons of times back in the days, at least here in Italy. The whole broadcasting was already released on dvd some years ago, as a part of a documentary about punk and new wave scene (I don't remember the title right now).
If you haven't seen RADIO ON yet, I do strongly recomend it to you all, if you like road movies, 'noir' and with just a few dialogues movies; very british, very 'gray' images and typical suburban images. I LOVE IT. I have the original vhs, if you can find a copy, BUY it, even if Sting's on it just for a few minutes.
The soundtrack is great as well, based on some innovators of electronic music, as well as Bowie and some other great names.
