OT: "A bad country and western song"

I'm posting this thread in response to an email I got from moonstone this week. I quote:

"my life is like a bad country and western song.
the dog died, i broke my arm and my husband ran off with a barmaid.
ok i made the last bit up but the rest is true. "

Her beloved Lucy died on April 12th and for the first time in 34 years she has no pitter-patter of little feet to come home too. On Tuesday one of her charges (named Snoopy, of course) tripped her on a walk and now she has a cast on her left arm (the good news: she is right handed!)

Given that we have RIPs for Dick Clark, Levon Helm, and Greg Ham this week, tell us how your week sucked (and send love and good vibes to Maria, our beloved Nutter moonstone.)

thanks guys. it was a bit of a gloomy week and it's very strange coming home to an empty house. lucy was the last of my pack of dogs i've had over the years.

i'm still one handed typing but hope to get a smaller cast on friday or if i'm lucky just a splint. at the moment it feels like im swinging a club on the end of my arm.

ladyhawke, i'm sorry to hear about your patient passing away. it must be hard not to get attached to people you work with every day.

here's to a better week for all of us. x
