OT: so many shows I want to see...

Hey gang, in the next few months there are so many shows I want to go here in Milano:
Killing Joke (April)
Gods of Metal, the day with: Motley Crue, Slash, The Darkness, Hardcore Superstar + more (June)
Cure (July)
Prodigy (July)
Marilyn Manson (July)
Billy Idol (July, not too far from Milano)
The Cult (July)
... and of course Stewart; Sting is coming as well, not in Milano, but the price in incredibly high (I sincerely don't like to see Sting in concert from far away, and the first few rows costs around 150 Euros); adding the travel cost, I don't think I will go and see him.
I just have to figure out how to get all those tickets of the shows I mentioned...let me see if I can get my name on the 'guestlist' or something to get in....lately it has become very difficult...uhm, mumble mumble...
Are you going to see some of these artists in your country?

I'm considering looking into tickets for The Cult June 8th in NYC, but it's so expensive to see shows there between hotel, transportation and just general expenses. Might see if they add dates.
Also looking at Adam Ant in Philly on 10/5 or NY on 10/6
Just saw Bad Brains are in Philly on 4/19, but I don't think I can make that one.
Looks like there are no US dates for The Cure, but if you can see them, Gio.... GO! Saw them in 2008 and they were fantastic.
BTW, the Psychedelic Furs last night were really good too. That was a nice surprise.
Also considering Manson and Gogol Bordello... you're right... so many shows! Can't do them all.

Dammit, I would be there totally for that, but IT FIGURES I have to work a convention in the DC area that weekend.
FUCK.
Excuse me while I have a good cry in the corner for a while.

Well, that sucks. I'm looking forward to that one.
Forgot that I'm also hitting Roger Waters for round 2 in Philly in July.

I need a show fix, but it seems everyone I want to go see is a night when I'm booked. I recently missed a show with Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt because of my daughter's school concert. No question which to attend, but if there had been a way to be in two places that night, it would have been the perfect night for that superhuman power.
There is an upcoming Vince Gill show in a very small venue here that I might check out. I know that sounds like an odd choice, but the fellow puts on a fantastic show. Very joyful!
I've never been a particular Foos fan, but having recently developed an obsession with their new-ish release, I'm regreting missing that tour.

Ops, sorry, I doubled my thread (you can read another post with the same title, well, forget it, I will continue here).
I haven't wrote another big show I want to see, but it's in the UK, in September:
THE CULT - KILLING JOKE - THE MISSION (in the same night...!!!!); they play a few gigs around the UK, starting in Newcastle...(uh, Newcastle!!!)
At the same time, I'm figuring out that most of the shows we want to see are from band coming from the 80's, just a few from later on; ok that we're more or less around our 40th/50th birthday, but this is also showing that there aren't many 'newcomers' that impress so much, with a few exception such as The Foos, Noel Gallagher, Marilyn Manson...most of the other names we all mentioned are from the 80's, and they do still make some noise! Their shows are almost events.

Maybe I'll get lucky and he'll add something else in the area around that time period. Just figures I'm stuck at a 3-day all-day event that Friday-Sunday too far away to make the hike back and forth.
Of course, this is all counting on him not having some kind of breakdown and the tour actually continuing that long, too...
Forgot that I'm also hitting Roger Waters for round 2 in Philly in July.
I'm totally looking forward to that show. That's actually the only concert I've got tickets for so far this year. Vespa is trying to talk me in to seeing Sting at the Borgata, but I just don't know if I can stomach it.

Looking forward to Jack White and Ringo Starr, both at the Ryman. Also Bonnaroo. Maybe Nick Lowe's spring tour, he's got the band, which is always awesome.
Other than that, "my" hockey team is in the Stanley Cup playoffs, so a lot of my nights will be booked for the month or two (Vince Gill is a huge fan, coincidentally...he gave away some of his on-glass season tickets in a public raffle lately...)

I forgot - I'm also contemplating the Bamboozle festival is Asbury Park, at least Saturday (May 19) because
a. It's the day after my fucking 40th birthday
b. Foo Fighters
I might have to suck it up and go VIP package for that.

Garbage playing a small venue this Saturday in my town. And I'm not going.
Butch Vig is great live, but I'm not too hot on their new single. Though Shirley still looks . . .

This week I am in Dallas to see Stewart.
Next week I am going to see Margaret Cho in Birmingham, and the first weekend in May Jane's Addiction and The Cult at the Crawfish Boil in B'ham. Then later in May I'm going to the Hangout festival.
I plan to take photos at all these events.
