The Police File Magazine # 7 (1980) in the editorial page the director of the mag wrote about the intention of The Police and Miles to travel to Peru -the Land of the Incas- for making a show and filming some scenes of the movie "Polcie Around The World" at those days Peru started a decade of violence (Terrorism) in spite of the fact other bands from the region came some years after and each one of them causes hysteria... I really & strngly think if The Police decided to make it visit to Peru on december 1980, was be an historic moment for the band... besides the fever and hysteria that visit caused on peruvians fans it will be definetely the date to conquer Latin America...a show in Peru will be an atom bomb nothing to do what I saw the same year in Argentina, Mexico or at Brazil & Venezuela in 1982. Finally it never happened and The Police waste two great chances on the 80's and at 2007.
