Video of my band w/ new guitarist

So after losing our 1st guy (moved away in Dec), we found a new, BETTER guitarist! We played out first show on Sat night and it went great! Just wanted to share! There's a video of us on our facebookers: https://www.facebook.com/SubdividedBand .

More importantly- I discovered a new item for my drums, or rather something AWESOME to carry all my stands and hardware in:

I scored two used hard case shells, made for transporting your golf bag and clubs when you fly. These things are AWESOME! I can fit everything but my shells and cymbals (in their own case) now into these two rolling cases. They each weigh about 100#s when loaded, but now I have like 4 trips to load in rather than 12! It rocked.

And in more news, I'll be playing at the House of Blues in Houston on Friday night! Many pictures and videos of that to come! :)

Thanks! Wait till you guys see the little project I decided on tackling last minute. Can't believe I'm doing this- pulling the black wrap off the kit and staining the shells green!

Hey Gang-

HoB gig went swimmingly! I was fucking BEAT at the end though- 1.5hours of RUSH with a 30min break, then 1.5 hours of Zeppelin. By the time we closed with Kashmir I thought my arms were going to fall off! Crowd was excellent. Video and Pictures below!

RE: refinishing- it was a little scary at first. The 8x10 tom's wrap had minimal glue underneath, and the wood actually looked really great! But the rest not so much- the glue was slathered on, and the wood wasn't nearly as nice. It splintered quite a lot, so the surface ended up alot rougher than I'd hoped. However it's 100% different than anything else out there- looks really unique, but still sounds good/no worse (which is all I truly cared about). Had it changed or even ruined the sound I would have been devastated. It was a bit of a risk, but in the end an awesome thing to do. Breathed new life into my 20+year old kit!
