Hugh is ok for the later years, but we need someone for the younger years. Hmmm

Is this real or hypothetical?

If real, I think you couldn't pick anyone other than himself.

Unless you're talking about his younger years, in which case... I have no idea.

I say Matt Smith for younger Stewart.

Google image search him. You'll see. Or better yet, just watch this: http://youtu.be/DSTaRznS4X4

(Who me a shameless Eleven fangirl? Absolutely.)

I think extra consideration should be given to members of this forum who are experienced in front of a camera. Even if they look nothing like him

I have had 2 different under 30 customers at my backpacking store job in the past year who look so much like Stewart the Younger, I had to apologize for staring!
One of them I had to apologize to his mom, who was w/ him, too! The mom took a second look (she seemed about my age, late 40's) at her son, and then AGREED w/ me, and told her son to thank me for the compliment!
  Yeah, how I felt!
So, possibly one of those fellows......

I'd pick Jamie Campbell Bower.
I saw him in "Sweeney Todd" and all I could think of was -- Stewart

So for the young Stewart my vote goes also to Jamie Campbell Bower; but the narrator in present MUST be Hugh Laurie as a contemporary Stewart. He even has better american accent than most americans.

Guess who is making the music score...

And the title of the movie could be "F*CK OFF YOU C*NT: life in Copland by Copeland"

Hey I posted something similar some years before (but I mentioned who makes the roles of Andy Stewart and Sting) he,he,he... Well for me Anthony Bourdain could be the perfect Stewart for nowadays ( you see a great cooker vs the best drummer around the globe):

I always thought Michael O'Keefe (Noonan from Caddyshack) always looked the part of "1980/Zenyatta" Stewart...

But now....not so much.

I thought the same thing when I first saw Caddyshack (which wasn't too long ago, on AMC or something. Always late to the party, I).

However I am ashamed to admit that, while I have always been a CSI fan, I am REALLY watching this season as Ted Danson (who I am not usally a fan of) reminds me so much of our beloved Stewart. What's the term: Squee?
