While I've always loved Stewart's part on this song, I had never seen/heard Omar Hakim's take on it. Much respect for it now- enjoy if you haven't seen this:

Thanks for sharing. I liked it a lot. I just closed my eyes and imagined what it would be like if Stewart were on prozac. And now I know. Of course, I kid

Hard to believe Sting let him get away with that! I've always been blown away by Omar's slick style. And I really loved his sound - warm, thick. You can hear it on so many of those great 80s hits - Bowie, Dire Straits, etc. DOTBT will always be my fave O' Solo Stingo project and Omar is half the reason why.

I also really miss those Blue Yamahas.

Thunk! Now this is the Sting I miss. If you haven't seen Bring On The Night, you should.

I always miss Kenny Kirkland when I see the old BOTN clips. :(
Was there, '85 Greek Theater very close to the front.

I was listening to that song (the Police studio version) a couple of days ago and reminded how much I liked it and the other music from Brimstone and Treacle.

Will need to check out the version linked above when I get home.
