U2 From The Sky Down - Amazing

Hey gang, I saw the new U2 movie the other day, and I can tell it's amazing; it's very very psychological, it gets you deep into their minds, very troubled minds I have to say, at the time they were writing Achtung Baby, such a great piece of work.
But the story of the making of the album is so 'depressing', such a dramatic moment in their career...but as we all know, what came out is a masterpiece. Never knew they had to fight that much to release it, and it was all personal, not a problem with something 'outside', it was all an 'inside-thing', if you know what I mean.
Bono is such a leader, musically speaking, I didn't expect it, even if I have been a huge fan of the band in the Eighties and knew their story very well. He is still the driving force.
Great movie!

I heard that their future is really uncertain: Bono himself said at the opening for From The Sky Down, that it would be ok if No Line On The Horizon was their last album. It seems like they don't know how to top their success without making always the same.
On the other hand they do to have some new songs to be released in a new album. I dunno.

Here's an article in Italian about it

Which has long been my problem with U2 - every thing they do sounds exactly the same to me.

But I'll bow out of this discussion with that before offending all the U2-lovers!

Ok I was going to post under What are You Listening to RIGHT NOW! thread but it seems to fit under this thread.
Streaming the Q Magazine Tribute to Achtung Baby, the whole album covered by different artists.
Half of the versions I really like, the other half I am "eh' could take it or leave it.
Love The Fray's Tryin to Throw Your Arms Around the World, on of my fav U2 songs.
Also, Depeche Mode "So Cruel" Gavin Friday "The Fly"

it's been making the rounds over on the Jack White/Third Man forums. (Really like his cover, in fact, but I'm way biased where he's concerned...since he's doing great things 'round my 'hood.)

I'd like to see this documentary. Is it something Tivo-able here Stateside, anyone know?

I know it was on Showtime but I get HBO not Showtime so I couldn’t see it. I know it is part of the "Uber" edition reissue that come with 5,000 CDs for a hefty price. I hope there will be a stand alone DVD release of it eventually.
Here is the link I have been listening to:
