Last night/Thursday 6 Oct., GREAT show across the Ohio at Southgate House Newport KY-Adrian Belew Power Trio w/ Tony Levin's Stickmen Trio as the opener. Fantastic just at that, but even better: Tony, Adrian and Pat(drummer for many of the KingC lineups) joining up for last set of King Crimson pieces!!! Great evening.

Well, dang. I must be living under a rock. I'd definitely have been there if I'd known. I saw a few updates from TL on facebook, but I've been so busy with work lately that I didn't investigate further. At least one local Cincy nutter was representing at Southgate. A friend of mine went to Louisville Wednesday night to see Buddy Miller and I couldn't make that one either.

One of my favourite albums in my late teens was Three of a perfect pair.

Reminds me of long post pub nights lazing around smoking and chatting and playing drunken games of Trivial pursuit in a house I shared with my friends. Good memories.

One of those bands I'd love to see live but never have yet.

There are recordings from two of the shows from this tour currently on Dime. There are different sources for the Phoenixville show. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with ears.

Yes, EQ. There were Stickmen, Power Trio and Jolie solo (the Power Trio female bassist-watch out Sting!), as well as a DVD. I unfortunately have had a light wallet due to 2 major car repairs recently, so all I got was a T-shirt!!! drummike, this wasn't well advertised. I had read about this tour in a lte Sept. New Yorker magazine, and so had been making a huge effort to keep an eye on the Southgate House events. Next time, I will try to get word out ahead of time-one of my bass playing friend here read me the riot act on fb for not letting HIM know!
Checkout EQ's link, definitely worth time!

Can't wait to see A Belew at Moogfest this year (www.moogfest.com). Brian Eno will also be there. Full report from both me & Supercat, I'm sure...
