Hello everybody, Gio's here.
I can confirm the my new book about the meaning of the lyrics of Sting & The Police will come out on September 28th; it took me some time to write it as they wanted to have it, but it gave me a chance to learn more about writing a book (remember this is my second book...and it's not bad considering I am not interested in writing books...!), and I learned a lot more about the subject; I can tell there are a lot of information that I'm sure many fans don't know, especially italian fans, considering is based on the meaning of the lyrics. I went down on many subjects Sting wrote about, searching for motivations, sometimes psychological, sometimes 'frightening', sometimes funny, but I'm pretty sure that fans who will read it will discover something that they would rarely imagine. For most of you, english speaking fans, probably it's easier, and when you listen to a Sting or Police song may already know some of the language references.
Anyway, I'm very happy about it, I guess fans will be happy too.
There will be some promotion around it, probably I will do some reading somewhere in Milano, and surely some of the main newspapers and magazine will write about it while talking about Sting becoming 60 years old...or at £€a$t that's what I hope!
The art cover will be very 'direct'! Something like...'symbols from the Police and colours by Sting' kind of...

Sorry, by now only in Italian. Too bad, as there are NO other books around like these one, in any language, considering that Sting wrote the 'Lyrics' book that is only quite like this one, but he only commented a few songs...in my book every song from every album is commented. It was hard, but I made it at the end.

HUGE congradulations, what an accomplishment-as someone not at all inclined to write, it seems as tho' to be such a big endeavor.
I do hope it makes it into English, but I will try to acquire a copy in Italian......and see how much I can 'sus through' using my old high school Latin (I actually can get the gist of some Italian that way, ).
Ok, Mr. Seitz, maybe YOUR turn to an author next?!?
