All right folks, here's hoping Stewart is willing to overlook my flagrant disregard of copyright law in the interest of sharing this cute song with you...

but CLICK HERE to download "Yo Ho Ho" by Klark Kent!

http://download.yousendit.com/E87E1B762D156739

This link is good for seven days or 100 downloads. Post here if it starts giving trouble and I'll re-upload.

I would really recommend "Just in Time for Christmas", the IRS Xmas comp Miles put out back in 1990, that originally contained this song. Honestly, I ordered it mostly for the KK song, but there's a bunch of other good stuff on it, and I've enjoyed it.

(I'd offer to copy and mail, but I am going out of my mind with Christmas chores this week...aiee! :))

Yeah, we have a great Captain here, who is always supporting KK's music to real fans.

I have to interrupt all this hugging and kissing here.

My personal opinion: this sounds more like a Stewart Copeland song than a Klark Kent song. Which doesn't make it a bad thing in general. But I personally never liked Yo-Ho-Ho as a song :(

I don't agree. It's got that whimsical sense of fun that some of the KK material conveys...Stewart wonders if Santa "needs some apple pie"...I absolutely adore it. (OK, I confess I've listened to it every day since I bought it...;))

Stewart's said in interviews that he doesn't like the noise his voice makes when he tries to sing, but I think that's kind of beside the point. (Has he never heard Neil Young? It's not necessarily technically perfect vocals that make a good song.) He's in tune and he can hit some high notes...and there's a catchy melody.

(I'm also really enjoying the terrific Squeeze song, "Christmas Day", that opens the album, and the dBs, and Stan Ridgeway...this was a well-spent $10.)

It's my favorite Christmas album - if only because I can put it on when everyone's sick to death of the typical Christmas music and be all "What the HECK is THAT?"

The Stan Ridgeway piece is my favorite (well next to Yo Ho Ho of course.) Now I've got that stuck in my head...

Yes, Yo-ho-ho has rock & roll Christmas style :!:

And at the end a mixture with Happy Birthday makes an unique Klark Kent style.
