Man! Have they got that wrong. This Police fan gently prised it apart with a screwdriver and put it back together in the right order. Why would a person risk damage to a perfectly nice rock? Never did understand why people spent ages trying to solve the darn thing.

I did that too. I could only ever get one side of the thing solved.

I particularly like the one about Joan Jett. Maybe because my high school gym teacher resembled her.

i can still only do one side with the top row of the others done too, if that makes sense, someone told me that was how you started to solve it.

aaah, 1982? 20p coins w re new that year too. i can remember a long summer holiday listening to zenyatta on my walkman trying to do my rubix cube and loving the new shiny odd-shaped 20p piece....

Thanks for sharing this, DM. It is great fun. The site also has two similar list for hard rock bands. They're great too.

As per....

may I be so bold as to add:

Stewart Copeland: You have shattered a rock with a Rubik's Cube.

I actually solved the cube twice. However, not being able to duplicate that ever again - I took it apart and put it back together in the solved order - as did everyone else, it appears!
