here:

it says, amongst other things, this:
"Copeland did some of the weather songs for the Weatherscan channel from 2003–2007"

huh? anyone know of this? i'm guessing it'd be short pieces to accompany ident / trailer type things..... on the fairly pointless sounding Weatherscan channel.

i'm guessing the songs aren't 20 minutes long each representing different types of weather with accompanying voiceover-free films.... "and next on the weather channel it's stewart copelands' 25 minute piece entitled 'Drizzle""........... now that i'd watch..

I have nothing useful to contribute, but on the iPod in my head I now have Stewart Copeland's 'English Precipitation Suite'. It's a new work exploring the many degrees of 'wet' that can be experienced by a soul rambling through this country.

ETA: I explained 'drizzle', and the necessity of always carrying an umbrella, to a visitor from Qatar yesterday. They were THRILLED by their first experience of drizzle.

I know there have been times when I flipped the channel and come across a few of those shows where they show twisters and floods and could have sworn I heard those familiar notes that could have only come from Stewart's head. I also remember hearing one of the Spyro pieces on Fear Factor years ago.

This sounds like an assignment for Dietmar...
