Let me get this straight.... Sting wouldn't let a deoderant company use this song for a commercial but he allows this travesty? :shock:

The Glee folks did a good job with Journey so I generally wouldn't object to them using Police songs, but... they mutilated this one.

Make it stooooop! That was almost as bad as the tragically crappy version of Roxanne in Moulin Rouge. My friend thought that was the greatest thing ever, but I threw up a little.

well, I guess it's all about the copyright owner (EMI, not Sony as written on youtube), with Sting's clearance .... ehm, you know, when a publisher spend $$$$$$,$$ to get a catalogue like The Police's and Sting's solo career, he must then find ways to get the money back and earn even more, and I'm sure this Glee episode may worth a LOT in terms of copyright income, trust me.
