Definitely nowhere on the scale of damage NZ & Japan have had, but a tornado in Virginia mountains is almost unheard of. 400 homes gone and/or severely damaged in under 15 minutes, this in a very small town just Southwest of my alma mater VPI/VA Tech. So, please, if you have a moment, send a few Nutter Thoughts out to the folks of Pulaski VA. Here in OH there is lot's more experience w/ sort of weather, but not the case there! Thnx.

Sad that this is what will put Pulaski on the map. God bless you, fellow Virginians.

Oh NO. I am so sorry to hear about this. Do post info, if there's any way people can donate or what have you...

Are there any stories online? I'll go Google.

Online will give best info. Virginians as a rule, especially in the rural ares, tend to be a self sufficient lot, and there was no loss of life, a Blessing. Still, it's the whole, hey where'd my house go thing! I went onto the website for the Roanoke Times Dispatch, and the Pulaski VA news paper (the Patriot, I believe) to get my info after my boyfriend saw the byline on a weather webpage). And now there have been theseother tornados in parts of the Midwest! I can deal w/ hurricanes, but tornados give me the creeps........
Thank you all for the Good Thoughts-theis Forum is so full of good well wishing folks!
