OT: Please Don't Forget to Keep the Tokyo Nutters in Mind

I know several forum memebers keep in touch w/ individual Japanese Stewart Fans on FB and the like, but things are still REALLY uncomfortable for the folks in Tokyo, canned food hard to find and the economy is taking a BIG hit! Not to mention the growing concerns over the graveness of the nuclear situation as of this morning. So, please keep our posting friends in whatever good thoughts/prayers/karma you believe in, and maybe post a word or two of encouragement from time to time. I think things will eventually be fine, but getting to fine can really be a bugger! Not to mention scary. Ok, thanks folks.

Thanks for posting this, falcon. It's so easy to get caught up in our day to day "static" and forget what real problems are.

So glad you posted! Btw, Riverside, Ca. is the sister city of Sendai. Any money sent to the Mayor's office and marked "Sendai" will go - 100% - to Sendai, the city hit hardest by the disaster. You can google for the address or email me at ia2ca75@yahoo.com and I'll get it to you. We've hosted Japanese students in our home and my daughter was hosted by one of those families; amazing people, country, and culture.

Thank you for your concern,
We thank for all the aids from all over the world.
Almost a month has passed but, the government & the electric power company have not yet find the way to solve the problem of Nuclear Plant ......

and another quake .... we shouldn't have had more than 50 plants on this small and trembling island

Thank you so much...Nutters.
A Japanese becomes considerably nervous.
Because I cannot speak English, I cannot explain it well.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart .

THANK YOU, policefan !
The situation here is still serious ( recently it became clear that the damages of nuke plants were worse than reported before .... already meltdown soon after the earthquake  ). The life in Tokyo seems quite normal (compared to that of Fukushima ) but we are living in the mood of somewhat " depression ". But, well, we must go on, hoping for the future with safe energy.
We are feeling every day the kindness of people all over the world, thank you !

Yes. You are certainly still in our thoughts. I saw a report on the Canadian TV news the other night about life in Japan at present. The bright lights of Tokyo have been dimmed to save energy. I was surprised at how different the street scenes look compared to before the earth quake. What's more, seafood restaurants and wholesalers are really suffering as people aren't buying fish due to fears (unfounded some say) that they contain high levels of radiation.

Please do pass on the word that we are still wishing everyone in Japan much love, strength and hope. And we admire your courage and resiliance. You may no longer be in the world's headlines, but you're still in its heart.

Thank you Itwoman, thank you Luddite lady !
In fact, Tokyo had been too bright ...... now it's quite "decent" I think....
and it's not that bad that we're in the mood of "competing how we save energy".
But the fear for the radiation is really serious. (whether it is true or not, its just too stressfull )
Should be perfectly safe, Nuke-Plants ! if you have them on your land :!:

Not only Japan where disasters are happening,
we too pray for many people all over the world.
Thank you,
Uccellina
