I bought this movie on DVD off the internet a few years back, it did the same thing at the beginning, where the tracking on the vcr was bad and it showed a blue screen for a minute. We must have got it from the same guy!

Yeah, I think there's really basically one boot of the film...every version I've seen has the blue screen also...
Now. If STEWART would just relent and reissue the damned thing, we could enjoy it in all its low-fi splendor...in hi-fi!

I have an original and was just dicussing it with my brother last night. I can't understand why "The Academy" didn't nominate it for short film that year. Love the cartwheel SC!

The motivated drummer imprisoned in a cage raising up sticks and skins against his oppressor!
Strange movie, but back then I thought the cage was Sting...or the Tall Weeds were The Police.
None of it turns out to be anything to do with The Police
Just protection from angry Lions...

My son and I are watching my copy of "The Rythmatist" right now. A few days ago, The Boy (my 12 year old son) sustained yet another skateboard related fracture, a nasty break to the upper arm this time. This evening, he was looking for some diversion from his pain. He lit up when I suggested watching "The Rythmatist", which he lovingly calls "the worst movie ever made". The only problem now is that he's shaking so hard with laughter that he's causing himself more pain than he had before.

Another of the families government-agency initials. Stands for: Copeland, Copeland, Copeland and Power. A short lived film production company comprised of Miles, Ian, Stewart and Derek Power.

I'm sorry to say that there are no plans to see that movie re-released anytime soon, as Stewart has no intention to do so. There could be many reasons, but while the cd is a good piece of art and got its re-release, the movie doesn't get the same consideration by Stewart...well, people change.
I would suggest anyway to see the movie again after reading the relative chapter on 'Strange Things Happen'.
