Just a question/suggestion about this message board

I was just wondering, since this looks like a pretty busy board, and getting busier by the minute, is there a way you could add more forums? It would be easier to find what you are looking for.
For instance, a Stewart forum, Andy forum, a sting forum, or just a Police forum to differentiate from Stewart's work? I don't know how big a task that is, but it's just a suggestion. One that you see a lot of on other band boards.

bella, this is the Stewart Copland official board. If you want to write something councerning only Sting, please get a member of Sting.com. If you wish to tell something regarding only Andy Summers, please write an e-mail to
info@andysummers.com and ask them to put a forum.
I know for sure some very important musicians read this posts (including Stewart). But, i don't think Andy and Sting take time to read our stuff. Perhaps they have someone who reeds it for them. But i gess not themself.
best regards

No No, Philip. I don't want to write TO them. I'm talking about all the different topcs that are in this Krypton Forum, it's getting quite large and they could be encapsulated in their own little subject-specific forums for easy searching.
Haven't you seen that before? A great example would be in my signature line. The website for dada. It has a separate forum for each member's solo projects, etc. Just like having a filing cabinet for different topics. That's all!

this is not a good idea i think because nobady respects the topics ! Offten a discussion turns into something else. Remember, all is conected synchronicity. one only board without sub cathegories is ok.
What i disliken egenio, is the whay the topics are sorted by date of the lattest post. If someone makes a comment on an old post it automaticly comes at the top. When you don't come to the forum for a long periode, it's alway difficult to find the topics you wrote in. They should rather be sorted by date of topic or have an individual number. ... how ever, the site is good. You can let it like it is... if it's more confortable for the majority of the others.
many thanks

All right, all right, fine! You win. I take back my question/suggestion. I guess I'm just an organization junky and I like things all neat and tidy all the time.

sorry bella, it's just my point of view. Perhaps it would be better your way... it doesn't really matter to me. They started to do sub-chapters for
stewart tells and links,... probably they will continue... and it's you bella, who will win

Ahh you've got to love polite-arguing.
I like the idea. And Philip you may be rich, and can afford to become a member of Sting's site, but not everyone is and can.

Is it a fortune? People talk about it like it's really expensive. Just wondering.

I think last time I checked it's like $60 for a year.

I am boycotting Sting.com for many reasons. 30 pounds is too much for what they offer, to my opinion. Here on Stewart’s official site you can be sure Stewart himself will interact now and then. He responded many times to questions from anonymous persons among us. He makes it easy. Simple like it should be.

See, Philip! Someone likes my idea!! Thank You Mrs. G.
I have more examples of forum
touring-
stew's equipment/technical stuff-
Off topic discussions (tells us about yourself or talk about anything other than stew and the gang-
etc etc. I could go on.
And Divemistress, I was a member of sting.com for a while and I had the bare minimum membership, which was $45 a year, but I never went on the site!!!! So, I didn't renew.

I also like bella's idea - sub-forums can make it easier to browse through various topics, but that's up to our lovely hosts here to determine.
And I for one am very glad that posts are sorted with most recently-updated first. That was always one of the biggest problems with the Ask Uncle Ian board - once a thread fell off the first page, most people wouldn't bother looking at older conversations, let alone continue to comment on them.

For me the forum is good the way it is.
I have a question for you all that knows many works from Stewart.
Does anyone knows if Stewart played keyboards with a big band, in Las Vegas Cesar Palace in the summer of 2001?

Hi from Giovanni.
Ok, Eugenio and I are the ones to put the finger to when talking about the decisions such as forums channels; in most of the cases we work on the ideas and we get the approval from Stewart, in some others Stewart has the idea and asks us if we can work on it.
As to forums, my opinion is that the less channels we have, the easiest is to check what's going on, that means all kind of news, from discography to news about tv shows, live appearances, etc... the only difference we did is about links ('cause it would create a list like a links section) and a section completely run by Stewart, that's 'dinner tales'.
I think it's working very well, seeing most of the users response; having an object or a title of the thread, each one of us can decide to read it or not, but you have them all in front of you when checking.
I'm afraid it comes down to how long we can stay on line; if we don't have a lot of time, this is surely the best way to check the forum.
Bella, I thank you anyway for your suggestion; I would suggest everybody to bring ideas if you have them; we can always consider them and discuss them and if we all think it's something that has to be changed or modified or similar, we will do it.

Can we have our icons back, and quotes and stuff? I know w hy we lost them, but maybe there's a way to keep that from happening?
