Eberhard Schoener CD: FLASHBACK
http://cgi.ebay.de/EBERHARD-SCHOENER-Fl ... 43a4ba99f1http://migmusicde.h826747.serverkompete ... on=175:112I've checked and it seems that at the end of January (amazone.de website) / February (MIG website) this OFFICIAL CD of the old German LP will be released.
This one - Flashback - is the only one with Sting, Andy AND Stewart.
There are other CD releases, but no VIDEO-MAGIC (so far) - that would be the LP with "only" Sting and Andy.
There were also other LP releases with Andy on guitar or Sting narrating, but those two should be of interest to most of you.

It will be interesting. I only have my LP rip.
So besides 'Trans-Am' and 'Flashback' is "Stuart Copland" on any other tracks?
I thought he was possibly on 'Natural High' and on 'Code Word: Elvis' but you said he wasn't sometime ago.
'Trans Am' and its reprise 'Flashback' are the only 2 you can easily tell on.
Thanks for the tip

Hi All;
I have been sellling an "unofficial" copy of Eberhard Schoener Video Magic for some time on Ebay. It came off an LP that had been played only a few times so there is excellant transfer quality. I have a few left if anyone wants one. I posted the picture of the cd. It is jet ink on cd, not a paper label that is stuck on.

P.S.
Craig from the Police archive is selling a one of a kind item, Band only tour pass with a picture of Doive "Oim Leeving the Grooop" on it. Here a pic.

So If I read that right you are saying 'Steward' is on all of these tracks (the ones with drums)?:
A1 Trans-Am
A2 Why Don't You Answer
A3 Only The Wind
A4 Powerslide
A5 Flashback
A6 Epilogue
B1 Rhine-Bow
B2 Loreley
B3 Magma
If that's the case, in 25 years of listening to the LPs and an older CD comp release of this, I have never noticed.
I have always enjoyed the bass line of Why Don't You Answer. If the rhythmatist is on there I like it a bit more even though all of these songs get dusted off merely as novelty about every 6.5 years.

as the credits for the original German LPs (and that's the only reliable source) don't list another drummer that's Stewart on all Flashback tracks then...

I do that, too...but it doesn't pay as well as the Eberhard stuff!

I've just had a listen for more fun and here is my opinion:
A1 Trans-Am (The Police)
A2 Why Don't You Answer (Sting and a drum machine)
A3 Only The Wind (The Police) possibly not Andy
A4 Powerslide (Sting & Stewart) High Hat sounds suspiciously un-Stew here
A5 Flashback (The Police)
A6 Epilogue (none)
B1 Rhine-Bow (Sting)
B2 Loreley (none)
B3 Magma (none)
Bye!
