Ciao my gang...now, more than ever, I'd need your support; even if I am feeling good, I guess that one of the most important thing in life, as already mentioned many times, is the presence of friends and friendship, especially in these moments.
My mother passed away a couple of hours ago, my sister and I were with her. She spent the last few weeks with no pain at all (that was my main worry), and she could do everything up until a couple of weeks ago; last Thursday I had the last dinner with her (we lived together) and after that I took her to bed; from that moment she lost the contact with the real life, and spent a few days sleeping. No pain, no surprises. I guess this is the best way to say goodbye to the world. She would be 80yo in February.

This is one of the rules in the game of life, we're all players.

Being in this forum, I guess it's a nice story to let you know that by pure coincidence, one of the most important person in my life was here for promotion this past week-end; I'm talking about Sting, whose presence meant a lot to me; we talked about my mum, he had some good words for me as well as a tender hug.
I'll inform Stewart and Andy as well, they mean a lot to me, as you know.

Gio I am so very sorry for your loss.

It will give you and your sister a lot of comfort in the weeks, months and years ahead to know that your Mum passed away peacefully and surrounded by the people she loved. It's the very best we could all hope for.

With time the pain gets less and you'll be left with wonderful memories of your Mum.

Just so sorry to hear this. My dad passed in August 2001...to some extent people do live on, because we remember them.
