Well all peruvian press announced that for the celebration of 100 years of discovering of Machu Picchu (Lost City of the Incas in Peru) the organization sent invitations to STING, BONO and PAUL MC CARTNEY... It show will be scheduled on July 7 that celebrates 100 years of their discovering to western and rest of the world by American Hiran Binham... the show will be start at 6:30pm with an speech of peruvian 2010 NOBEL PRIZEof Literature Mario Vargas Llosa, and some shows from the different countries that have WORLD WONDERS like Egypt, Greece, Italy, etc., it will be a show of music and the using of spectacular lights and effects that will be proyected from a balloon for not using any cables into the Sacred Sanctuary of The Incas... also peruvian world recognized tenor Juan Diego Florez had been invited... Paul Mac Cartney has replying with interest to be part of it but all depends on his agenda, hope the same with Bono and Sting... ( by the way I think that this invitations could be send to other personalities like Andy Summers - who was in Machu Picchu in 2009 and have great opinions about the place - and to Stewart Copeland - because I need to reply his amazing gesture when he got me a backstage during Tourzilla - So if both will be there like musicians guests or to be like spectators perhaps could be awesome that during STING show he invited them for playing something like a gift surprise to Peru) The place of the show will be placed at the esplanade of the "Guardian House" ( that had back the spectacular natural vista of Machu Picchu ) this place will be capable to receive 1,000 audience and have a natural outstanding acoustic... the show will be broadcasting worldwide and in Peru will be established big LED screens in Cusco and Lima... Finally, nothing is confirmed up today, by it was announced in to a press conference some hours ago.
By the way, peruvian government claims the devolution of around 6,000 archaeological pieces of Machu Picchu that the man who discovered it, Hiram Bingham sent to the University of Yale with the authorization of peruvian government in 1911 like a loan, the University of Yale illagely appropiated it for around a hundred of years and not have the intention to return its pieces and want to appropriate for more years in their museum... "National Geographic" who participate in 1911 with Binham defend the peruvian claim, because that historical treasures of Machu Picchu and Peru was sent to Yalein 1911 only for ONE YEAR for academic investigations... I hope that Sting and Bono, who defends Human Rights, The Environment and the Defense of the Indigenous People, will have the commitment to support this natural claim of a culture and a country that only have justice and that not want to use the word "STOLE" to the intentions of Yale.
