What's the best solo album of Andy, Stewart & Sting?

What you consider is the best "solo" album of Andy, Stewart and Sting?

Don't follow the mags critics... only what your own musical sense fill it up your soul...

Mine list is:

ANDY: "XYZ" ( perhaps I consider "Mysterious Barricades" too)
STEWART: definetely "THE RHYTMATIST"
STING: is more difficult but are between "Nothing like the sun" and "Ten Summoner's Tales"

Well, i guess we'll just have to write in our favorites.

I don't have a complete collection of any of them, so my choices are limited to albums i own. I haven't bought a sting or andy solo album in over ten years. Even in Stew's case i am lacking Rumblefish to Gridlock'd and wasn't there a release for Night of the Taranta?

For Stewart, those couple of missing pieces likely wouldn't affect my choice. His greatest work in my view is the Rhythmatist, as well as being my favorite album in general.

For Andy, well to be honest i just haven't listened in years, but i do have several of his early solo albums and plan to get his book. I guess XYZ stands out the most.

As for Sting, well it's a toss-up. I got away from his music for quite some time... long enough for it to become fresh again. I still haven't rushed out and bought everything i've missed in the last few, but i have developed a serious new admiration for Bring On The Night. The high energy jazzified live Sting stuff is a real treat. So, while Soul Cages is probably still my favorite studio album, i think Night may have eclipsed it overall. It makes me want to pick up the All This Time live set, but i'm afraid it will suffer by comparison.

Mine list?Well,for Andy I'd choose "Green chimneys" but it's absent.For Stewart "The Rythmatist" and for Sting "The dream of the blue turtles".

And what do you think about the solo music works of KK, Andy and Sting...
Are each one of them, with high quality, the same as The Police music?

My favourite SC album is definitely Rumblefish. It's so distinctively SC in style but I love that it's also Police-y in places and that a little bit of 'Excesses' snuck in there too on 'Party At Someone Else's Place'.

I'm not really familiar with Andy's solo work but I like the stuff I've heard off XYZ.

I think of Sting's solo work I like The Soul Cages best. For me it's the only one where I really feels like he 'means it', if that makes sense. A lot of his other stuff seems like song-writing on auto pilot - brilliant though a lot of those songs are. I really love parts of Mercury Falling too.

Hub was just telling me I really should get off my high horse and listen to 'Ten Summoners Tales.' He thinks I'd like it. So...think I'll go do that, since he bought it on SACD a while ago.
