Hi all I´m new and I´d like to ask you if someone can answer me the following questions about "Regatta de Blanc":
1)Is Stewart or Andy singing backing vocals on the song Bring On the Night?.I´ve always thought it was Stewart, what do you think?
2)Another one, which percussion instrument Stewart played in the interlude of Bed´s too big whithout you?Sounds like little cymbal same like in "I Burn for You".
3)Last one who played piano on Does Everyone stares Andy or Stewart?I Think its Andy but not sure about that...
Many Thanx!

I've often thought it sounds a bit like it might be Stewart singing in a Sting 'accent'. I'm sure Dietmar or someone can tell us.

I'm pretty sure that's Stewart doing the back up vocal with Sting.
Cheers.

There are some dubs tracks of Sting voice and I think plus Andy's lancashire voice...similar than in XYZ solo album... really cool

For your 2nd question, I think in that part of the song with Sting playing the descending bass line and Stewart playing that drum groove, he is muffling the snare somehow (with one hand maybe?) and playing the 16th on that. then he hits a splash on the ones and the (over-amped) kick on the threes. maybe stew can verify.
oooh and if you do stewart i have a question. in 'dont stand...' after sting sings 'he starts to shake and cough' you hit the splash which sounds like a cough. so...fortuitous coincidence or genius design?

I asked that question like a year ago, and someone told me he did sing backup.

It rather seems to be Andy's voice...
