"Life"

"Life"

Postby GuerillaGirl on 28 Oct 2010 16:20

A man who adores me has been kind enough to send me the autobiography of Keith Richards, titled Life. It was publicly released two days ago and it is over 500 pages long; it includes some great photos.

Has anybody else bought it? Keef is one of my favorite guitarists. He has something in common with Andy, too, in that they both play Teles.

I don't know if anyone here is a Stones fan, but they're one of my favorite groups and I will report to you all when I'm finished reading this book. I'm excited to start it!

I'm really curious to check it out. I'm not a huge Stones fan, personally, but I think the story of the band is fascinating and I'd love to read Keith's inside POV on their history.

I would consider it an historic reading for all rock music fans...as soon as I will have some free time, I will read it.

I was listening to a podcast earlier in the week that said Disney is having cold feet about bringing Keith back for the next Pirates movie because of what Keith said in his book, which makes me want to read it even more.

This book sounds like it could really spill some beans, I'll give it a read.
I'm not a huge Stones fan either (it has taken me years to appreciate a drummer like Charlie Watts).

Nah, that was just a rumor. Turns out he's still going to reprise the role, according to several sources. Here's one.

What she said, lol.

Also, I love Captain Jack Sparrow's Keith impression. Way cool swagger!

I noticed a lot of the musicians we listened to as kids are now writing autobiographies, from Clapton to Ozzy, and of course our boys. Does it mean that we are getting old? Yikes!

I'm planning to read it; think it would make a great Christmas gift, don't you? I still haven't gotten to Ginger Baker's book yet (did anyone read Patty Boyd's--Harrison Clapton-- bio?)

Just started it.
Its been a good couple of years for us Stones fanatics from Exile to Ladies & Gentlemen...and this is just more good stuff. Hopefully a new tour to get behind as well. Enjoy the read...it was as anticipated as KR's first solo CD in 1988.
